Birdy Airlines now fully integrated with SN Brussels Airlines.
AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
SN Brussels Airlines has completed the full integration of its long-haul carrier Birdy Airlines into its own operations, adding three Airbus A330-300 aircraft to its fleet.
Birdy Airlines has been operating SN Brussels' long-haul flights from Belgium to Africa since the spring of 2002. The airline's 40 employees, most of whom are pilots, will now come under an SN Brussels contract. SN Brussels has marketed the flights, determined the in-flight entertainment and provided cabin crew since the 2002 deal was signed.
SN Brussels' Airline Operator Certificate has been extended to incorporate the new aircraft and routes and a new 'Mixed Fleet Flying' training scheme has been launched that will allow SN Brussels pilots to fly both A319 and A320 aircraft, reports Luchtzak Aviation.
