Ryanair sells 20 aircraft.

Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair has sold 20 Boeing 737-200 aircraft including parts and spare engines to Autodirect Aviation for EUR15m.

The aircraft, all manufactured between 1980 and 1983, include six Boeing 737-200s

that have already been retired by the airline, with the other 14 aircraft being sent to Autodirect Aviation when they are decommissioned from the Ryanair fleet by the end of next year.

A spokesperson for Ryanair said that the deal is a good one and will give the airline one of the youngest fleets in Europe by the end of 2005, reports the Irish Examiner.
