GE Aircraft Engines receives orders from two carriers.

GE Aircraft Engines, a division of General Electric Co, has reportedly received orders worth a total of USD289m from two airlines.

Indian-based airline Jet Airways has purchased 20 GE CF34-8 Growth engines, which

are expected to be delivered from June 2004 to 2007, to power its Embraer 175 regional jet aircraft. The airline also has an option for 20 additional engines.

Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways has ordered GE CF6-80C2B6F engines to power its nine Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. The engines, worth USD169m, are scheduled for delivery in 2002 and 2003.
