Chautauqua Airlines has placed an order with Rolls-Royce for AE 3007 engines worth USD127m.

The airline - which is scheduled to become the fifth carrier in Delta Air Lines' Delta Connection system - has ordered the engines to power 22 Embraer regional jet aircraft. The airline has recently signed a deal with Embraer for 15 38-seat ERJ 135 aircraft and seven 50-seat ERJ 145 aircraft, to be delivered during 2002 and 2003.

The engines will be covered by the airline's existing Total Care maintenance agreement, worth a further USD51m to Rolls-Royce.
