Actor arrested on drug smuggling charges at Islamabad airport.

Actor Erik Aude - who appeared in the film Dude, Where's My Car - faces the death penalty or ten years imprisonment in Pakistan after being charged with drug smuggling.

Police at Islamabad airport arrested the

21-year-old after eight pounds of raw opium was detected in the lining of his suitcase. The drugs were detected by officials as Aude was preparing to board a flight to Los Angeles on 15 February 2002.

According to the actor, who is pleading innocent to the charges, he was working as a courier transporting fine leather clothing from Turkey and Pakistan and was unaware that he was transporting drugs, reported World Entertainment News Network.
