100 people arrested at Zia International Airport.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Police arrested 100 people on 30 December after they entered unauthorised areas at Zia International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

A team of airport police rounded up 100 people, including 30 drivers, 34 unlicensed

porters and 20 hawkers, from the arrival and departure lounges, immigration enclosure and canopy areas of the airport. The disruption to the airport commenced at 0900 local time and continued until around 1500, reported The Associated Press.
