One Eleven Design, is turning heads in the Fort Wayne area. With its sleek, stylish and cutting-edge signs and knowledgeable interior designers, One Eleven brings a whole new feeling to the office design experience. The staff directs their dynamic design talents on finding the best solution for the customer, keeping cost, function, and image all in balance.

One Eleven Design, located at 111 West Berry Street in downtown Fort Wayne, opened for business in October 2001. President Janet Roe felt the area was ready for and needed a more full-service office furniture and design dealership, "It was time to take the office to the next level in regards to products, service and design in dealing with current office trends and issues."

As a result, the staff of seven includes five interior designers and has over 40 years of industry experience. Their progressive 4500 square foot facility includes ample display area providing sample office settings that allow clients to see specifically how various office furnishings can work for them. The combination of staff and showroom has resulted in an environment where customers can think out of the box to create a work environment tailored to their particular industry, employee and customer needs.

The relocation of one customer, Brethren Colleges Abroad (BCA), involved moving offices from North Manchester, Indiana to Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. Stephen Pierre, BCA's Chief Financial Officer, coordinated the move and construction project. "I met with four area companies who carried different brands and had different levels of service," Pierre says, "One Eleven was clearly the best and most organized by far." Pierre worked with One Eleven's Nicole Miller and the staff handled the entire project. The end result went well beyond the expectations of BCA's employees.

"They took this big, empty institutional space (a former cafeteria) and created an office plan that is perfect for our needs," says Pierre. BCA President Karen Jenkins agrees. "It's gorgeous," she says. "People walk in and are stunned. It's just beautiful. I can't begin to tell you how pleasant our office is. They knew what they were doing."

One Eleven Design serves customers both large and small, in the commercial and healthcare markets, Their library has over 150 different manufacturers to address the various needs of their customers. One particular manufacturer, Herman Miller, is known as the innovator and design leader in the healthcare and office furniture industry. Herman Miller originally developed the open office panel system, modular healthcare products, as well as the first ergonomic chair. One Eleven Design has partnered with Herman Miller to be the exclusive dealer for Northeastern Indiana.

The team at One Eleven Design is ready to create an optimum work environment no matter what the customer's restraints may be. Some of the current issues affecting the work place today are ergonomics, technology changes, downsizing and the aging work force.
