Ann Taylor Doubles Headquarters in NYC

"The success of Ann Taylor Loft and the continued expansion across all other divisions created the need for additional space," said David Goldstein, executive managing director of Julien J. Studley Inc., which represented Ann Taylor.
Ann Taylor will be the largest tenant in the 1.2-million-square-foot tower completed by Boston Properties last year. The second largest tenant in the building--which sits on 42nd Street between Broadway and Seventh Avenue--is the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers, which occupies roughly 250,000 square feet. Other tenants include Heller Ehrman White & McAuliff, Clarendon Insurance, Manatt Phelps & Phillips, and Pitney Harden Kip & Szuch.
The building, now nearly full, was supposed to be anchored by a 400,000-square-foot lease by Arthur Andersen before the firm was rocked by Enron-related troubles.
In addition to Goldstein, Ann Taylor was represented by Mitchell Steir and Matthew Barlow of Studley. Boston Properties was represented by John Powers, Peter Turchin and Timothy Gibson of CB Richard Ellis Inc.
