In an effort to continue the growth of the company's property and facilities management business, Trammell Crow Co. hired Trevor Foster as global director of its management services group.
"Trevor is a guy we've known in the business and given his global reach, a guy
we've been excited about getting," said Mike Lafitte, president of global services.
Prior to joining Trammell Crow, Foster served as vice president of corporate development & executive vice president of facilities services at EMCOR Group Inc. He also worked for Johnson Controls in various senior management, operational and engineering positions in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The longevity of Foster's career in commercial property and facilities management, Lafitte said, was appealing. "His experience on the technical side of the facilities and his experience on winning new business structuring, whether through alliances or buying companies, brings a wealth of knowledge," he said.
In his new position, Foster plans to take advantage of existing facilities management trends and use them to serve the company's customers.
"(The) invasion of information technology is changing the way facilities are built and operated and how people work within them," he said. And, he noted that globalization will change the way of doing things.
