Sperry Van Ness Nabs Grubb & Ellis' Top Investment Team

Jeff Pori and David Stubbs, Grubb & Ellis Co.'s top investment team company-wide, have joined Sperry Van Ness and have opened a new Las Vegas office under the name of Sperry Van Ness/Transwestern Investment Services. (The office is not affiliated with Transwestern Commercial Services Inc.) Scott Lunine, managing director for Sperry Van Ness, will oversee the Las Vegas operations.
The addition of Pori and Stubbs is part of Sperry Van Ness' national expansion program, which has grown from nine regions to more than 65 in approximately two years. Pori and Stubbs will bring three additional agents with them and will join five other Sperry Van Ness agents in Las Vegas.
"The national affiliate program was attractive because of its flexibility," Pori said. "We wanted a national presence but also wanted to own our own business." He noted that the interaction and support offered by the executive management team are benefits to joining Sperry Van Ness.
According to Pori, he and Stubbs ranked as the No. 1 investment team and No. 2 transaction team, regardless of specialty, for Grubb &Ellis nationally for the first quarter of 2003. For the past 12 months, they have secured transactions valued at nearly $170 million.
With over 12 years and 14 years experience, respectively, in commercial real estate, Pori and Stubbs specialize in the sale of office, industrial, retail and multifamily properties in Las Vegas. Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, they served as vice presidents of Investment Advisory Services at Grubb & Ellis in Las Vegas.
