Jeffrey S. Taylor.

Jeffrey S. Taylor (photo), 47, has been named president and chief operating officer of Mountain Development Corporation here. He succeeds L. Robert Lieb, who steps up to chairman.

Prior to joining MDC, Taylor was with Chicago-based JMB Realty Corp., where he established that firm's

leasing and management office for the Northeast.

At JMB, Taylor was responsible f6r supervising almost 30 office properties, comprising over 15 mill ion square-feet. This included seven major Manhattan office towers containing over I million square feet each.

Taylor's experience in commercial real estate also includes positions with Cushman & Wakefield, The Prudential Insurance Company of America, and Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America.

At Teachers, Taylor was responsible for more than $400 million in loan origination and real estate acquisition, and he directed the management of its nationwide portfolio of owned real estate.

A graduate of Princeton University and New York University Graduate School of Business Administration, Taylor holds a BA in History and MBA in Finance, with a concentration in investments.

He is a member of The Real Estate Board of New York, Building Owners and Managers Association, and several other industry organizations. He is formerly mayor of Chatham Township, New Jersey, and a member of the local planning board for nine years.
