Investor buys 423rd building, first building ever bought.

In an extraordinary course of events, real estate investor Bob Shapiro, of Manhattan Property Investors Group, LLC., has bought his 423rd property in 22 years and has also repurchased the first deal he ever bought.

Shapiro first purchased 435 East 9th St. in 1981 for $150,000 and then

sold the property in 1983 for approximately $300,000. Fast forward almost 21 years later, and Shapiro has again bought the property having closed on it for a purchase price of $1,725,000.

"I guess I should have kept it," joked Mr. Shapiro when asked about his latest acquisition.

"I have bought and sold some 400 properties in the last twenty years. This is the second time this year we have bought something which we recently owned," he continued.
