Cheaper Solar

Solar power is still more expensive than fossil fuel generated electricity, however there are great advances being made in making solar competitive, dollar for dollar, against any other fuel.

The rule of thumb in the solar business is that every time the volume of solar cells doubles, its cost drops by 20%. Germany and Japan, by offering generous subsidies to local consumers and companies who invest in building solar power, have sparked booms.

Won’t be long before solar is the same (I will dare to prophesize) then cheaper than anything else.
