Simple Things You Can Do to Save the Earth (and Money)
In is essentially important for human beings to follow laws and orders without which a man can be brutal enough harm others. It can be easily mentioned that law plays a vital role in arranging the mob in a
systematic manner. So, one should never fail to follow laws of anykind, concerning anything.
This is a wonderful opinion. The things mentioned are unanimous and needs to be appreciated by everyone.

I don't have alot of money laying around to have a solar panel installed, but I found something even better that helps reduce my utility bills! For only @ $350 you can buy a fixed 10 turbine wind power system. It is one of first wind turbines that can be installed in residential areas with less than 1 acre! I think this will be HUGE! I also use rechargeable batteries with a solar battery charger. you can check out a whole bunch of affordable green products at www.EnergySupplyStore.com ...

Simple Things You Can Do to Save the Earth (and Money)
As I have some experience with these new products, I have a few corrections:

1. "New products are in the pipeline, including food container companies offering corn- and sugar cane-based products designed to disintegrate in hot water."

These products are not "designed" to disintegrate in hot water; they are designed to break down to their natural state in a commercial compost facility. Corn plastic (or PLA) does have a heat tolerance of about 135 degrees or so. From everything I've seen, the companies that make these products are quite clear about what uses they recommend for certain products, and most of the time it states it right on the actual product.

2. "most of these products are manufactured in China. This is the same China, Bill Baker points out, where quality control is almost non-existent and produced consumer horrors."

Actually, many of the companies that make these products do manufacture some or all of their products domestically. Even so, if quality control in China was truly "non-existent" this whole country would probably be falling apart before our eyes, starting with the clothes on your back, moving to the cell phone in your pocket, and ending with the television in your living room. I'm sure these companies, just like all others, have quality assurance procedures in place to limit defects.

3. "The legal liability of businesses that have to serve foods in the weak, often leaking containers that could be hazardous to the health of people ingesting food and drinks from these containers,"

This is an overstatement as well. While these products, like many new products, have experienced some issues with performance, it is far from a regular event. I would be a lot more worried about the peanut butter you are serving in the cafeteria than the PLA lined cups you are serving your coffee in.

4. "Bruno contends that biodegradable food containers cost two-to-five times more than Styrofoam containers."

From my research, this is simply not true either. I was told this morning that sugarcane food containers are the next price point up from styrofoam. That's pretty amazing considering the fact that stryofoam has been produced for decades, giving manufacturers a huge leg up in the race to keep costs low. Keep in mind that the "cost" of using a non-renewable resource does not currently reflect what future generations will pay for our decision to use products that generate large amounts of greenhouse gases and are destined to reside in a landfill (or on the side of the road) until the end of time.
