TIGER AIRFARES DOWNUNDER

There is a war on Down Under. Tiger Airways, possibly Asia’s most successful low cost carrier, is prowling around the Aussie market and the two domestic airlines are not hap-hap-happy at all.

Australia has two internal low cost carriers and an Asian threat running on Asian operating costs has put these two airlines in a tizz. Tiger has had flights departing from the northern city of Darwin for a while and is now expanding, first to Perth on the west coast and is now casting its eye elsewhere on the continent.

I recently flew Tiger Airways between Australia and China with a lovely stopover in Singapore. They are efficient and as a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, have a pretty good safety standard.

The only drawback for some travelers could be the night flying and the stopover in Singapore if in a hurry.

Oh the plus side, did I mention their fares are ultra-che-che-cheap! See how on http://tigerairways.com.sg/home/
