Do you like personal service, a peaceful place to work and make phone calls or cleaner cleaner restrooms and and more comfortable chairs than are normally offered along the airport corridors?

It may be time to join an airline club or VIP lounge. There´s a few around including United's Red Carpet, American's Admirals Club, Delta's Crown Room, Continental's Presidents Club, Northwest's WorldClub, the US Airways Club and Alaska Airlines' Board Room.

If you don´t qualify but feel the need one day or have a client to impress, then simply get a day pass. Joining for a year can be as much as $500 or a one day pass can cost $50. A standard Priority Pass (www.prioritypass.com) costs $99 a year, plus $24 a visit.

The seven U.S. carriers listed above have about 180 clubs worldwide.
