Can You Still Find Your 2006 Action Plan?

Thursday, February 16 2006

Early this year you went through a five day process to create a strategic action plan for your business. If that plan is top of mind for you, front and center on your desk, kudos to you!

But for most of you, the action plan has made its way to the bottom of some important pile of papers or is laying on a shelf collecting dust. Is that you? Shame, shame. You're falling back into those bad habits of letting the knee jerk day-to-day stuff control your business instead of proactively pursuing the goals you established.

It's time to get back on track.

Pull out that plan and do a check and balance. Have you completed any of the items? Are you on track with others? What do you need to do next?

And the next step is to make sure that plan doesn't get lost in the heap again. One way to make that happen is to take a huge wall calendar and mark it up with your action plan activities and tasks. Then hang it on the wall where you will see it every day.

What other suggestions do you have for keeping yourself on track? Leave me a comment.
