I wrote about similar issues in "GoodBye Conferences, Hello In-House Events" (http://www.allbusiness.com/company-activities-management/management-personal/11782206-1.html) here on AB.com. With budgets already in place, I'm not sure if this will affect corporate or individual travelers more, and with most companies in our study already going to in-house events (NextStage has been repeatedly contacted about participating in in-house events rather than "I'll see you at xxx conference, right?").
It'll be interesting to learn how these new options shake things out.

What/how is the best way for finding out about overseas charges? Should I contact my credit card company before hand? I read somewhere else that some credit card companies will charge up to 3% for using your card overseas.
