Why he was nominated: In four years, Tony Pascotti's real estate development efforts have become pre-eminent in the Harrisburg market. He, partner Tom Flynn and former partner Rick Reynolds completed a high-rise office building

in downtown Harrisburg that drew high-powered law firms and other professional tenants, as well as a bank and restaurant on the first floor. Market Square Plaza, finished on schedule, adds another bump to the Harrisburg skyline and has received accolades from the business community. Pascotti enjoys being a real estate developer. After working 70-hour weeks at Bisys Insurance Services Inc., he enjoys the ability to work from home and set his own hours. His network often comes in handy, he said.

"The old adage of, 'It's not what you know but who you know' is still valid today," Pascotti said. He likes being in Harrisburg, which he said has the business community of a small town but the feel of a bigger city.

What's next: Pascotti is working to sell Market Square Plaza. He still wants to develop in downtown Harrisburg. He is looking for projects that mix residential, office and retail uses. City Island would be the perfect locale, he said.
