Area firms celebrate milestones: Corcoran Printing celebrates 65 years
Wilkes-Barre-based Corcoran Printing Inc. last month invited customers and community members to help celebrate their 65th anniversary at an open house gala.
A family-owned business on its thirrd generation, Corcoran Printing prides itself on delivering the quality printed products using state-of-the-art technology. During the open house, guests were invited to tour the facility and view Corcoran
Printing's latest acquisition, a new Heidelberg Printmaster PM 74 printing Press. The new four-color press will allow the company to compete on larger volume orders and larger sheet sizes up to 20 X 28 inches.
This press increases the four-color production output by 200 percent while complimenting the existing five-color Heidelberg Speedmaster.
"We are proud to have served the printing needs of the local community for 65 years and look forward to many more," said Bill Corcoran, president, Corcoran Printing. "Although we began in Plains, we have been in located in downtown Wilkes-Barre since 1978 and are committed to the revitalization of the downtown area. We've even improved the buildings facade by extensive painting, constructing an awning and adding landscaping to show our support of beautifying the city."
