People's Alliance Federal Credit Union has shifted its Westbury branch from the third floor of 1600 Stewart Ave. to the ground floor. Why? Convenience, said Lisa Mitnick, senior marketing manager for the Hauppauge-based credit union.

Now, we have reserved parking right next to where the

credit union is, Mitnick said. Another thing was when the building was closed, our members didn't have access to the ATM. When the building was closed, the ATM was closed. Now we have 24-hour ATM service.

PAFCU, which held a ribbon cutting for the new Westbury location on Nov. 17, has nine branches, 40,000 members and assets of $200 million.
