South: You're Sued

CAMDEN Size matters to Donald Trump. Last week the real estate mogul filed a $5 billion lawsuit in state Superior Court in Camden alleging that he was defamed by a book written by New York Times reporter Timothy L. O'Brien and published last October by Warner Books. Among his chief beefs about "TrumpNation: The Art of Being the Donald," are O'Brien's claims that Trump's fortune is too small to qualify him as a billionaire. Some magazines have pegged Trump's worth at more than $2.5 billion. The lawsuit says O'Brien's book "grossly misrepresented" Trump's net worth as being between $150 million to $250 million. The complaint is seeking $2.5 billion in compensatory damages and the same amount in punitive damages.

Meanwhile, Trump last week announced plans to build a $190 million, 45-story high-rise luxury condominium in Philadelphia. A Trump spokesperson says the project will consist of some 250 units, with construction slated to start this summer.
