American Automobile Association projects holiday travel to top pre- Sept. 11 volume

The American Automobile Association projected Thanksgiving air and automobile travel to top pre-Sept. 11 volume this year for the first time. AAA estimated 37.2 million Americans will travel 50 or more miles this Thanksgiving season, an increase of 3.1 percent compared with the 36.1 million people

traveling during Thanksgiving last year.
