American Style magazine readers ranked New Orleans the No. 1 arts destination among mid-sized cities in the country. The poll also designated Louisiana Artworks, a project of the Arts Council of New Orleans, a Hot Spot.
American Style structured its Top 25 Arts Destination ballots into three population categories: big cities, 500,000 and over; mid- sized cities, 100,000 to 499,999; and small cities and towns, under 100,000.
The New Orleans Museum of Art, the French Quarter, the Jazz and Heritage Festival and the art galleries in the Warehouse Museum District were among the highlights readers noted as a must see in the Crescent City.
