Bluetorch fires up motocross magazine

Irvine-based Bluetorch, a division of Broadband Interactive Group, recently launched a new motocross and supercross magazine called MX RAGE targeting riders ages 12 to 24. The free, full-color, 80-pluspage lifestyle magazine features news, expert product reviews, event coverage and interviews with

leading freestyle riders. The initial run is 35,000 copies. The magazine will be published every other month and distributed at select locations.

Kirk Bender is editor of MX Rage and leads a staff of contributors whose roots are in the motocross industry. Bender, a longtime motocross writer and photographer, has been active in the sport since its inception. Cameron Steele is the advertising account executive and a former supercross racer and the television personality for the leading freestyle events, including the LXD Freeride Tour and the Vans Triple Crown. Staff writers include Brian Deegan and Eric Hilton. Vans, Etnies, and Hansen's Energy Drink are among the advertisers in the first issue.

Bluetorch offers daily programming on Fox Sports Net, four action sports print magazines, Internet content (including videos, daily updates, photos) as well as major live events.
