Hawaiian Vacations plans new nonstop flights. (Tourism).

Tour provider Hawaiian Vacations announced it will offer nonstop flights direct from Fairbanks to Maui and from Anchorage to Maui this winter. Through a contract with New York-based North American Airlines, Hawaiian Vacations will offer weekly flights from Fairbanks to Maui starting Dec. 21

through spring break in March 2004 for a total of 15 flights. In addition, new Anchorage to Maui flights will provide twice-a-week service beginning in November. North American Airlines will operate the charter flights utilizing a new generation Boeing 757-200ER aircraft carrying 202 passengers in coach and comfort class.

"We are excited to introduce these nonstop flights to Maui to our customers," said David Karp, vice president and chief operating officer of Hawaiian Vacations. "They have been asking for this for a very long time and we've been working to find the right partner with the right aircraft to allow us to provide this service. A substantial portion of our customers love traveling to Maui, and now we can provide that service nonstop from both Anchorage and Fairbanks."
