For the first time in Canada, new provincial laws, including notice that existing legislation has been amended, are available online within two business days of enactment. Ontarians now have better, faster access to the up-to-date laws with new upgrades to e-Laws (www.e-laws.gov.on.ca), a free, bilingual online resource for provincial legislation. These upgrades significantly improve public access to Ontario laws, which, two years ago, were only available on a 12-18 months publishing cycle.
With this tool, Ontario leads the nation in offering educators, students, the legal community and members of the public access to the information they need, when they need it, free of charge.
