CALGARY, ALBERTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 21, 1999

WestJet Airlines(TSE:WJA.) is in receipt of the releases distributed today by Transport Canada and the federal Competition Bureau, and will provide its corporate comments shortly.
