Archdale, N.C.— Sealy has promoted Louis Bachicha to vice president and chief operating officer of Sealy Canada, effective Sept. 1.

He will oversee three Sealy plants in Edmonton, Alberta; St. Narcisse, Quebec; and Toronto. He replaces Tony Smith, who has resigned to pursue other career

opportunities.

Bachicha, a 20-year Sealy veteran, most recently was vice president of sales/East Region.

"Throughout his career, Louis has demonstrated strong leadership and an ability to grow his customers' business and Sealy's business," said Larry Rogers, president of Sealy's International Bedding Group. "We are confident that Louis will continue to grow our Canadian market share while providing the continuity in leadership that this business requires."
