West Bank Poll Questions Palestinians About U.S. Position.
By VOA News
Eighty-nine percent of the Palestinians surveyed by a West Bank university say they don't believe the United States is justified in attacking targets in Afghanistan as part of its anti-terrorism campaign.
The Bir Zeit University survey of 1,200 West Bank and Gaza Palestinians also found that 76 percent do not want to see any Arab participation in the U.S.-led effort to stop Osama bin Laden and his allies.
Regarding the September 11th terror attacks against the United States, 64 percent of those surveyed say those attacks went against Islamic law. The university's poll was conducted October 4-6, just before U.S.-led airstrikes began.
