FIVE BIOTECHNOLOGY COMPANIES TO PRESENT AT VENTURE '93

Five North Carolina biotechnology companies have been selected to present their funding needs at Venture '93, the 10th annual venture conference, to be held May 17-18 at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. ICAgen Inc. of Durham is a start-up biotechnology company seeking seed capital to develop its proprietary techniques for discovery of drugs that modulate ion channels.

Tri-Point Medical of Raleigh is a development-stage company seeking expansion funding to develop and market its bio-adhesives, which provide unique would closure, would management and drug delivery
