In 1999, Mackey returned to Pfizer in Groton, Conn., to lead genomics, biomarker and pharmacogenomics research for human health. The next year, she assumed a leadership position with Pfizer's Strategic Alliances Group. Mackey received her Bachelor of Science and doctoral degrees in microbiology from Cornell University.
