Disease Sciences, Inc. (OTC BB: DSSC) announced today that its research Projects with Dr. Paul Brown for studies on the efficacy of incineration to inactivate scrapie infectivity and
"Researchers believe using multiple high pressure pulsing should show a significant reduction in prion protein by immunological testing, and that it is generally agreed that the level of protein is paralleled by the level of infectivity," stated Dr. Brown.
Pressure testing will be performed this month, and bioassays will follow within the next few weeks. Bioassays of the already prepared incineration specimens are expected to begin in March. Approximately a year of observation following inoculation of the bioassay animals will be required before results will be known.
