Starting over ... some 6,000 feet lower.

COUNTRYSIDE: I'm sitting here in the snug little cabin we built with snow and cold outside. It is the first thaw since October, which is unusual for this area. The goats are real close to kidding and we were getting worried that the kids would be too cold.

Our tarp-barns are still holding up, even with the heavy winds and snow we've had. They're usually about 10 to 15 degrees warmer inside than outside.

My reason for writing this time is that we have to move. I'll miss this place and the beautiful sunsets we have every night. I'll miss the eagles, which nest
