Project Night Night is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization, dedicated to improving the lives of homeless children, one sweet dream at a time. Project Night Night donates individual tote bags filled with a security blanket, an age-appropriate book and a stuffed animal to children ages 0-10 in homeless shelters. MommyTalk.com members are collecting items for Project Night Night across the country.
"Since our members are located across the country, we are working with Project Night Night so that our members can mail in their donations, or drop them off at one of the donation locations throughout the country," said Rachel Dunn, senior editor for MommyTalk.com. "They will then keep a running total of how many items MommyTalk.com members have donated so we can track our progress along the way."
Through donations of new blankets, and slightly-used children's books and stuffed animals, Project Night Night is able to provide tote bags to children across the country. Since 2005, the organization has donated more than 24,000 Night Night Packages.
"By providing objects of reliable comfort, Project Night Night seeks to advance the emotional and cognitive well-being of each child we help," said Kendra Robbins, executive director for Project Night Night.
