MommyTalk.com Goes Member-Run.

Social Networking Site for Moms is Now Run By Mommy-Members

PHOENIX -- MommyTalk.com, an international social networking website for moms, announced today that it is now nearly 100 percent member run. Team Mommy Talk (TMT), a team of mommy-members to the site, has taken over the majority

of the site's daily-updated content.

TMT brainstorms feature story ideas, forms partnerships with national organizations that are subject matters on a variety of timely and relevant issues to mothers and interact daily with other members on the site.

"Going member-run was one of the long-term goals I had when MommyTalk.com began in August 2006," said Stephen Shearin, director of operations for MommyTalk.com. "We're at a great point where a core group of the site's members have done an amazing job at making the site focused on the issues that moms want to know about and talk about."

MommyTalk.com provides members with daily feature articles, live chat groups, mommy blogs, forums, e-mail, photo/video uploading and custom page building options.

"It is so exciting to be a part of TMT and have the opportunity to make MommyTalk.com what moms really want," said Rachel Dunn, TMT leader and a Northeast Ohio mother. "As a stay-at-home mom, I have not only found a great support network on MommyTalk.com, but also a job that I can do from home and that I'm excited to get up in the morning and work on."

The site's technical side is still run by the original operations team, but TMT has a say in the overall concepts and design for the site.

"Most of the regulars here are moms, but MommyTalk.com is the place for parents. I never want to stray from that mission," said Shearin. "Allowing our members to control much of the site helps us ensure that this is really what they want."

MommyTalk.com was founded in August 2006 and has since formed a solid community of moms across the world.
