Center report the development of a new means of control of excess cortisol levels.

Elevated levels of cortisol, mainly induced by stress, have been implicated in the development of numerous diseases, including depression, Alzheimer's, HIV, etc. Using the drug ANTICORT(TM), Dr. Papadopoulos and his group from the Division of Hormone Research found that they could control the hormone and stress-induced cortisol production by human adrenal cells.
