--(BUSINESS WIRE)

The Food and Drug administration has approved FUZEON (enfuvirtide), the

first drug to block entry of HIV into immune cells. Unlike all currently approved anti-HIV drugs, FUZEON(tm) blocks the virus from entering the human immune cell, preventing HIV replication that can devastate the immune systems of HIV infected individuals. By contrast, all other classes of HIV drugs work after HIV has entered the cell and begun its replication process.
