Have you ever wanted to see what it's like being at the Oscars(R) event through the eyes of the stars? America Online and Moviefone have teamed up with some of the hottest Academy Award(R) nominees, presenters and attendees to make that happen. Please join Charlize Theron, Laura Linney, Penelope Cruz, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Kate Winslet and Star Jones Reynolds as they give us a bird's eye view for this Oscar event special with AOL(R) Celeb Candids.
AOL Celeb Candids allows the stars to turn the tables on the paparazzi and give fans an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at their lives at Tinseltown's biggest night of the year. For every Celeb Candid posted on the service, AOL's Moviefone will make a donation to Project Angel Food, which provides free nutritious meals to those afflicted by hunger, HIV/AIDS and other illnesses. For more information please visit www.angelfood.org.
Last year, AOL's installment of Celeb Candids captured private moments during the 2004 Oscar week from celebrities such as Adrien Brody, Jude Law, Billy Crystal, Peter Jackson, Julianne Moore, Uma Thurman and Jennifer Garner. As in previous years, AOL Celeb Candids will offer web users a rare and intimate glimpse into the private world of the stars -- including images from rehearsals, pre-event primping, inside the limousines, Red Carpet arrivals, and dozens of candid snapshots of celebrities enjoying themselves at the famous after-parties. Memorable images from previous years included a shirtless Jude Law getting his hair ready for the big night, Meryl Streep viewing a photo of herself from a previous Oscars ceremony and Colin Farrell lounging in his limo on the way to the big event, among others.
"The Academy Awards are one of the biggest nights in entertainment. With Celeb Candids, AOL and Moviefone offer fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what they would not see on the telecast - from the perspective of the stars," said Steven Yee, Vice President and General Manager, Moviefone. "We strongly believe in Project Angel Food and their mission to provide meals to those suffering from illnesses such as HIV/AIDS."
These personal photo albums from the stars will be available on the web at www.Moviefone.com beginning Monday, February 28 or at AOL(R) Keyword: Celeb Candids.
