The project

Continued finger lancing is necessary for controlling blood-glucose levels, but painful for diabetes sufferers. In addition, many lances performed by lancing devices fail to draw enough blood and users have the hazard of handling individual lancets, which intensify the problem. An electronically controlled lancing system has been developed to address these issues (Figure 1).
