The Tree of Light Ceremony is held every year in December to celebrate the "Gifts and Great Promise of Learning Different Persons Everywhere." The Lewis School is especially proud this year that Mr. Lavoie will be participating in both the tree lighting ceremony and the workshop the following day.

Founded in 1973, The Lewis Clinic and School was the first educational organization and day school in the greater Princeton area to devote all of its resources and expertise to the full-time education of bright learning different students. Multi-sensory teaching is implemented in all subjects of the schools curriculum and in related areas of study such as fine arts, music, SAT preparation, test-taking and study skills, listening comprehension and auditory processing. The Clinic provides comprehensive educational testing that is sought by parents and professionals alike, nationally and internationally.

The School's philosophy is best described by its founder, Marsha Lewis, "Our students' gifts and promise are as important to us as is their need to repair scholastically. At The Lewis School, learning problems are understood, not as disabilities, but as differences; the expression of remarkable and diverse capacity of human thinking and perception."
