New Signature Golden Door Spa Package Offered

at Three Wyndham Resort Spas

Those fortunate enough to spend a week at the original Golden Door(R), a legendary destination spa in Escondido, Calif.

come away restored, balanced and refreshed - and many would say enlightened with a fresh outlook on life. This "spirit of life" has been brought to all three resort branches of the Golden Door through an individualized four-night package that is inspired by the original's renowned program and philosophy. The Spirit of Life package gives spa-goers at The Boulders-A Wyndham Luxury Resort in Carefree, Ariz., the Wyndham Peaks Resort in Telluride, Colo. and Las Casitas Village-A Wyndham Luxury Resort in Las Croabas, Puerto Rico, the opportunity to become fully immersed in the spa experience - from treatments to fitness, personal instruction, meditation and cuisine.

One element that is particularly impactful is the signature Potassium Broth Break. Inspired by the ritual at the original Golden Door, a gong is sounded every morning at 10:50 a.m. at each of the spas, after which a vegetable-based Potassium Broth is served to guests. It is timed to when the human body is most receptive to potassium's health benefits, which include aiding in the absorption of other nutrients and increasing blood flow.

"We introduced the Spirit of Life package at the Golden Door Spa at The Boulders in 2002 and received wonderful feedback from guests who embraced the intensive destination Golden Door experience available through the program," explained Lorraine Park, director at the Golden Door Spa at The Boulders. "By popular demand, we have expanded the offering to Puerto Rico and Telluride. Now our spa guests can choose between the desert, mountain or beach for their Spirit of Life program."

Golden Door Spas bring the essence of the original Golden Door to select resorts within the Wyndham International collection. Inspired by the ancient Honjin inns of Japan, where weary travelers found sanctuary, The Door, as it is known to aficionados, is the first destination spa and is widely regarded as the most innovative and respected name in the industry. The philosophy of physical and spiritual well-being is evident at all three resort locations of The Golden Door Spa in Carefree, Las Croabas and Telluride through each facility's dedication to fitness, cuisine, personal service, as well as restorative and therapeutic treatments. In addition to Golden Door signature elements, each is also influenced by its distinct locale, with design and treatments that offer a wonderful sense of place.
