AT&T to test open access.(Brief Article)

AT&T Broadband says it will become the first cable operator in the U.S. to test open access this November when it launches "AT&T Broadband Choice" in Boulder, Colo. The six-month technical trial will involve as many as 500 consumers.

In collaboration with Excite@Home, AT&T Broadband will use the trial to resolve a number of technical and operational issues associated with providing high-speed cable modem service over the same cable system.
