More than 3,000 rural residents access telecommunications services--both voice and high-speed data--for the first time
Lucent Technologies and Anatel, the federal communications agency in Brazil, announced results of the CDMA450 trial being conducted in the region surrounding Brasilia, Brazil's capital. During the first month of the trial, more than 3,000 people in Brasilia's satellite cities--including Santa Marina, Candangolandia, Taquatinga and Sobradinho--accessed both voice and high-speed data services for the first time.
