BSkyB plans pay digital terrestrial move.(PRODUCTS)

Pay TV provider BSkyB is to launch a pay TV service on digital terrestrial television in summer 2007. The offer will consist of four channels from BSkyB's existing portfolio, offering a range of sports, entertainment, news and films, including live coverage of the Barclays Premiership football league and Hollywood films. Capacity for the broadcast of the service will be provided by that currently used for Sky Three, Sky News and Sky Sports News. MPEG-4 compression will be used for the new service, enabling BSkyB to transmit four channels instead of three.
