May 13--ETISALAT REPLACES .CO.AE WITH .AE: Etisalat has announced that it is replacing the .co.ae domain names with .ae. This action is to make it easier to remember Internet domain names. Existing name holders should contact UAEnic to replace them with .ae free of charge.

ETISALAT MAKES DEAL WITH JORDAN TELECOM: Etisalat has signed a two-year deal with Jordan Telecom to provide Internet connectivity between the UAE and Jordan for USD110,000 per month, reported Gulf News. This establishes the UAE as a hub for reliable Internet services
