Low holiday weekend rates encourage consumers to use
AT&T TeleConference Service
AT&T today announced low holiday AT&T TeleConference Services rates
From November 22 to 25, consumers can get together with groups of relatives or friends in the United States or abroad using AT&T TeleConference Services, and the host pays only 20 cents per minute, per location. Call fees are charged to a credit card. So Mom and Dad in New York can host a 15-minute call with Dad's parents in Florida, Mom's sister in California, their daughter in Texas and son in Chicago, for only $15. International callers, or others using the caller-paid rather than the toll-free dial-in number, also will incur long-distance charges, based on their existing calling plan.
"We've seen teleconferencing help businesses stay connected with less travel, and in these extraordinary times we wanted to make it easier for consumers to use our service to share the holiday with loved ones," said Lou Delery, vice president of consumer long distance in AT&T Consumer. "We can't provide turkey or pumpkin pie, but we can help the whole group share the holiday spirit even if they can't all get together in person."
This limited-time promotion, with no extra charge for making a reservation and no set-up fee, is only available online and applies to toll-free or caller-paid dial-in conferences. For more information or to make conference reservations, consumers can visit www.att.com/gettogether.

Teleconferencing Tips for Consumers
AT&T offers these tips for consumers who arrange audio teleconference calls.
Before the Call...
-- Tell all participants the date, time, expected length and how to join the call. -- Let everybody know that you will need to start the call promptly. -- Remember ... equipment makes a difference. If speakerphones are used, they should be of highest quality. Air-to-ground and cellular phones may adversely affect sound quality. -- Advise caller-paid, dial-in participants that they will incur any applicable long distance charges for their portion of the call. Rates are based on their existing calling plan.
Ask Participants to...
-- Speak naturally.
-- Identify themselves at the beginning of the call.
-- Pause for others to comment.
-- Mute speakerphone microphones when not speaking.
-- Seat key participants closest to the speakerphone or use a
handset, if possible.
