Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq: CMTL) announced today that its New York subsidiary Comtech PST Corp. has received a contract valued at approximately $1.7 million for solid state power amplifier systems

from an international customer.

The amplifier systems, utilizing the latest solid-state switching technology, will be used by the armed forces of a major NATO country for deployment in ground and air communications jamming systems. The contract is part of a major upgrade of a ground mobile electronics attack system. Deliveries are expected to start in January 2002 and be completed in six months.
