Architectural Digest Publisher Thomas Losee toRetire.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 7, 1997--Conde Nast President and CEO Steven T. Florio announced today that Thomas Losee, Publisher of Architectural Digest, would be retiring from the company in March. No successor has yet been named.

Losee was named to this position in 1984 when

its was part of Knapp Communications. Conde Nast purchased Architectural Digest in 1993.

Before that he was for many years at Hearst Magazines holding a variety of distinguished positions including three years as Publisher of Harper's Bazaar and five years as Publisher of House Beautiful.

Steve Florio remarked, "When we bought Architectural Digest along with the bargain came two incomparable individuals, its Editor-In-Chief Paige Rense and its Publisher Tom Losee. Both have continued and even amplified the excellence that has always been a hallmark of Architectural Digest. So it is not without regret that we accept Tom Losee's decision to retire this Spring. He will be greatly missed and difficult to replace."
