eBook Readers Giving New Life to eBooks

eBooks have been around for awhile. Around 10 years ago, there was talk about them displacing print media and putting paper bound books and periodicals out of business. Well that didn't exactly happen at the time and eBooks sort of turned status quo. I'd go so far as to say that their popularity waned a bit after that -- until recently.

Many things have converged to make this a good time for eBooks. eBooks are of course, "greener" than paper bound books and now green is almost a must. Secondly, the technology is rapidly falling into place with a good selection of eBook readers like the Amazon Kindle and the Apple iPad (eBook reader and more). Add in the availability of faster and more seamless wireless connectivity and you have a recipe for a resurgence of eBooks.

What does this mean for a home based business? If you are considering writing an eBook to sell, but think there is no longer a market for it, think again. You might even want to write an eBook to give away to gain subscribers. It's a good time for that! So if you have a book or a 'report' waiting to come out, commit it to eBook.
